Pastor Josh grew up in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains and loves Southern California. He started at The Church of Hope in March 2023 and has enjoyed getting to know Santa Clarita. He lives with his wife, stepdaughter and daughter in Pasadena. He has served congregations in West LA; Medina and Wolcottsville, New York; and Sierra Madre, CA. Pastor Josh is also a historian focusing on science and the environment. He holds PhD from UCLA. He is an adjunct professor at Occidental College and Moorpark College. In his free time, he loves to hike in the mountains and drive off road in the Mojave Desert, Owens Valley, and Death Valley.
